FIRST PART ,THE TRIP FROM SAN JEAN PIE DE PORT TO SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

From Belorado to Olmos de atapuerca.30km
The first part of the route was easy. We only rode about 30km .we started from the same place we left the route last year. We have seen lots of pilgrims along the way.in the middle of the route i saw  Young girl who was walking  with her mum .i said good bye when  I passed her and she stated to laugh .i was happy that I had made her laugh. Some time later a country man who was ridding a bicycle told us “ you are  like rockets”he made us laugh jaja.
We stay at the municipal hostel ,it only cost us 6 euros.
We had dinner at 10 in a good restaurant ,I had garlic soup, mmm it was tasty. After that we went to bed and I wrote these lines.

From Olmos de Atapuerca to Castrojeriz.  60km
We got up at 7.30! we put on our clothes and went down stairs to get our bikes. There was  a woman who was having breakfast.I asked her, have you slept well? she said  ,yes absolutely .she told me that her roomates had left the room earlier than her but she didn’t hear anything .At last we wished each other a good way and then we separated.I got the bikes and went out to my friends. They were outside ready to star. We had 60km ahead so we started to get going. We had a break in the middle of the route and at about 3pm we got to Castrojeriz.   Castrojeriz was the camp site where we had booked a bungalow to spend the night.
The bungalow had 2 bedrooms ,one of them was a double room for a couple  and the other one had 2 single bed.It had a living room ,a bathroom and a toilet. It was more confortable than the first nigh so we had sweet dreams. It was peaceful and relaxing. The owners were charming with us .we shall always remember this time with affection for his friendly a generous nature and special meal of roast lamb
From Castrojeriz to Ledigo 70km
We got up early .We had breakfast and rode the bikes .We had 70 km ahead so there wasn’t time to lose. When we had ridden for about 2 hours ,we stopped in a restaurant to have a break. The route was going quite well and we were enjoining it a  lot but we nedded to eat something. We had a break with tipicals meals  and after that we rode our bikes again. We carried on with the route but 5 minutes later one friend had a problem with his bike .he couldn’t  continue  so we stopped and repair it more o less until the next town.
This route was wonderful because there weren’t  a lot of inclines .every time we were passing a pilgrim we said “good luck on the way “
At 3pm we arrived at the end of the route .the name of the village was Ledigos and we stay in a pilgrim place named el palomar. We had lunch and had a shower. After than I wrote a little. Then I closed the book and suddently I saw my neighbor  in the room. I asked her how the trip was going and she said that everything was well at the moment. We spoke for a long time and we got to know each other .She was Yaiza and she was from Bilbao .We enjoyed talking about our experiences on the route. After that I went out to the garden and I met some pilgrims from Valencia. We were talking for a long time with them. Then Yaiza arrived and we continued talking with her too. At last we gave each other our emails , probably to get together in the future and to share an activity. Why not?
The truth is that one of the most  attractive things along the way is to have  good  feelings  with a stranger and after that say good bye and to wish good luck on the way.
Wishing the best for everyone is like wishing the best for oneself.
From Ledigos to Leon 65km
We got up at 7 am and put on our clothes. We had breakfast and said goodbye to our new friends , Noelia ,and her boyfriend and Yaiza. They looked me interesting people and charming too. This day everything went well until it started to rain ,we put on our waterproofs .when we were going to left the bar where we had a tasty breakfast,I met Abel.I had passed him on the route some minutes before .We had a good conversation for about 10 minutes. It was the first time we had talked to each other but we looked like close friends!. He said that it was his 9th time going on the pilgrim way .At last we said good bye to each other and we talked about we could meet some year on the pilgrimage. Then we separated and I carried on to Leon with my friends
We arrive at about 2.30pm. Then we had tasty lunch. After that we met a pilgrim who was going on bicycle like us,he was going to stay at the same hostel that us. We talked some time and after  that we went to have  some beers . In the  pub there were  a motorbike like the one I had when I was a child. We were talking some time with the  owner and then we went to have dinner.1 hour later we went to the pilgrim mass and after that we went to bed.
From leon to rabanal del camino
We got up early and we had breakfast in a hostel. We started the route at about 8.30.We spent some time sightseeing before we left Leon .When we had been for about 3 hours ,we stoped to have a break. After that we had some water and continued with the route. We passed through lots of villages and small towns until we arrive at Astorga.Astorga was the biggest town we had passed through. We still had 20km ahead .We continued ridding but a couple of minutes later I felt an explosion !,the wheel  had punctured.Icouldn’t repair it perfectly so I did all I could to make a little reparation until the next town where I could buy a new tyre for it.Fortunetly next town was near so we arrive whitout any problem. Then we arrive to the hostel ,it was rustic an the atmosphere incredible. The owners(Isabel) were charming with us. We had a big plate of pasta and some sausages. Then I had a shower and I put on my clothes. I felt relaxed and calm. I went out to the pilgrim hostel and then I saw a woman who was coming by bike. She arrived and she though that I was the own because the first words I said was  “welcome “  ,“how do you fell?”, ”everything ok? “.It was funny .then we spent some time talking about how the way was going. Her name was Maria and she was from from  Caceres but she is living and working in Salamanca. She looked me definitely an excellent person. Maria  came with us and we were very happy to share the time with her. We spent the afternoon talking while we were  walking around the village. Then we went to have dinner. Then we met a Jappanese woman who join us for dinner. Her name was Asco and we had fun with her about her name. She liked Spanish omelet and the pork. She was alone because her friends were slower than her son she was alone. She said that she lived 200 km away from Fukusima and she was worried about the situation in her country. Fortunately we had fun during the dinner and wisked each other  good night .It was the best along the way ,I’ll never forget it. Thanks to Maria an Asco and definitely to my friends.

SPORTING EVENT OF RONDA 101

Ronda 101 is an annual sporting event wich takes place in Malaga. The challenge is to complete a circuit of 101km in less than 24h. It can be by bicycle ,walking and duathol mode.I chose the last one (duathlon). It was going to be my longer duathlon ever. I was a competitor but I didn’t compete against anyone , actually I did it to share the experience with the friend who recommended it  and for my own personal satisfaction.

I took part in  the event with a friend but everyone  was following his own pace .I began ridding for 75km .I often stopped to have some food and some water. There were drinks at regular intervals .In the 75km point  I left the bicycle  ,and I have lunch in a military restaurant .I had chicken and chips ,yoghurt ,2 sips of coke and some water. The food was perfect for the occasion. After that I carried on the event on foot .I was  exhausted so I could only  ran for 14km and walk 6 more. While I was walking I met a man and we talked about how the route was going. He told me he had just came back from Argentina where he had been cycling. We wished good luck to each other  and said good bye . After 21km on foot I got the bike again and carried on to the end. As I was finishing the race ,I was feeling so good and finally I crossed the finish line. Then I said thanks to my legs ,to my arms to my heart to  my mind and everyone around me  for carrying through the race. I got a certificate to remind me of me archievent. This was my experience .

When the result of places was published, I was surprised because my positions was 101 in my category ,so the same as the km I had completed. What a coincidence!

The organization was excellent .it was organized by the military. They made the event run smoothly. I strongly recommend this sporting event for people who like doing sport and enjoy nature. The whole event is exciting and rewarding.
